So, as far as my education goes, in my undergraduate I went to the University of Utah and graduated with a bachelor’s in medical biology and I attended Oregon Health Sciences University and that’s where I got my dental degree was at Oregon Health Sciences University. You know, as far as continuing education, those things that I think when you come out of dental school you have an idea of what you want to do, but that morphs, that changes as you’re getting into helping people and the different ways of doing things that always changes and I’ve always loved the aesthetic aspects. I’ve always loved, you know, whether it’s restoring teeth so that you have that beautiful smile and not just doing fillings or whether it’s having straighter teeth and that has changed. That has grown and developed as I do continuing education into airway, into developing facial structures, into helping people live healthier lives because, you know, they say that the eyes are a window to the soul, right? Well, the mouth is a window to the overall health of your body and we see so many things and there’s so many things associated with the mouth and what we’re able to do that with continuing education I’ve brought that to a whole big new spectrum for me. It hasn’t been just restoring people’s teeth, it’s restoring it to a nice bite, it’s restoring it to open airways, you know, to helping people sleep better, to making sure that their jaw joint is healthy and then that all leads into pain, you know, headaches, migraines, neck aches, shoulder aches and the way that we hold our heads and it’s all based upon the structures of the mouth and the face and the more I learn, the more it goes, it’s like going down a rabbit hole. There’s just more information and more studies and more information and the technology and the things that are being brought out and able to help people has just progressed over my course of the last 25 years.
